What does a breathalyzer test involve?

A breathalyzer test measures the amount of alcohol in a person’s breath. The patient will blow for three consecutive seconds into a small device that immediately evaluates breath. If the patient has been drinking, it will be detected. The device will then provide an estimation of BAC based on the breath sample.
